Con 12.250 franchi al metro quadrato, Zurigo è la proprietà immobiliare più costosa della Svizzera, secondo uno studio pubblicato giovedì.

In terms of price per square meter, Swiss cities are not equal. If Zurich records the highest cost of Switzerland at 12'250 francs, Rarogne in Valais is more affordable with 2750 francs per square meter.

Lucerne is the Swiss city with the highest price surge. The square meter is trading at 8,500 francs, an 82% jump from 2007, according to Thursday comparis.ch and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich), in their analysis of the real estate market. The city is followed by Horgen on the shores of Lake Zurich where the price per square meter is around 11,000 francs, an increase of 80%.

Uster (ZH, at 8500 francs) and Sursee (LU, at 6500 francs) share the third position. Both cities recorded an increase of 69%.

With a price per square meter of 2750 francs on the apartments, Rarogne (VS) is the cheapest city. With 3250 francs, La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE) and Le Locle (NE) follow.

Porrentruy the cheapest

In the case of houses with 5 to 6 rooms, the most expensive goods are found in Höfe (SZ). In this locality, it is necessary to spend 2.45 million francs to acquire a villa. With respectively 2.3 and 2 million, Meilen (ZH) and Zug follow. In Geneva, there are 1.5 million.

Conversely, in Porrentruy in the Jura, a house comes back to 350'000 francs. This is the cheapest place. Leventina in Ticino (400,000 francs) and Rarogne (500,000 francs) are second and third.

In order to achieve such results, the authors of the study analyzed more than 1.6 million house and apartment sales advertisements published between 2005 and the end of June 2017 on the comparis.ch real estate search engine....
