A CHINESE ART OF LIVING, THE FENG SHUI PROMOTES WELL-BEING AND HEALTH THROUGH INTERIOR DESIGN. STARTING THROUGH THE ROOM, LOCATION OF REST BY EXCELLENCE.
Feng Shui means wind and water, evoking the flow of energy and the balance of forces present in nature (yin and yang). It is an ancestral art of Chinese origin aimed at harmonizing environmental energy (Qi) by arranging living spaces in such a way as to promote the health and well-being of those who live there.
Space is thus organized to concentrate as much energy as possible and to create an atmosphere of serenity.
In the home, the Feng Shui method is based on the positioning of the furniture and the decor of the rooms. Overall, the house should be clean, tidy and airy often. It is certainly in the room that the contribution of Feng Shui is the most important because it contributes to a peaceful and restful sleep. This piece is classified in the yin whose qualities are the silence, the shade, the softness, the inactivity, the static character.
A SOOTHING ATMOSPHERE
"If your budget does not allow you to transform all the rooms in the house using the Feng Shui method, focus on the bedroom. We spend a third of our lives and enjoy quality sleep is a key element of health and well-being, " advises Catherine Hilker, certified American specialist in Feng Shui.
Experts advise not to place the bed directly in front of the door but to have a view of the entrance to the room. A solid headboard is recommended and should, if possible, rely on a solid wall rather than a thin wall.
Avoid heavy objects near or suspended, green plants, mirrors, lighting above the bed, electronic devices and television. Choose two small bedside tables equipped with dimmers. The underside and the space around the bed should not be congested.
On the walls, prefer soothing shades, clear, neutral or pastels. Avoid energizing colors like red. Hang a work of art that inspires you, photos that reinforce the intimacy of the room.
