Sardinia south side

Direction Forte Village, a mythical resort nestled in the middle of a tropical pine forest, to discover the charms of the second Mediterranean island.

Immerse yourself in the vegetation of Forte Village

Bananas, lemon trees, lavender, pines, palm trees, bougainvillea ... The 50 hectares of Forte Village vegetation make forget the 650 rooms that total 8 different hotels, barely visible here and there through the foliage. The real luxury here? Space ! Not forgetting the 21 restaurants, the incredible miniature village of the Cité des Enfants, the numerous sports academies (football, cycling, tennis, basketball ...). Named World's Leading Resort, the Forte Village has not stolen its reputation!

Testing the first thalasso in Italy

The Acquaforte Spa at the Forte Village offers a unique course in the world, with 6 open-air sea water basins, with varying temperatures and saline concentrations, in which one plunges successively. One has to dare to put one foot in the first, which is said to be filled with frying oil (in fact, a marine oil with high magnesium density), because the experience is worth it. Ten times saltier than the Dead Sea, at 39 °, it completely relaxes the muscles and relieves the joints. We float, better, we feel like we are weightless. Astronauts come here to reclaim here after long months in space. Floating in the basin, with eyes in the sky, listening to the song of the birds, we are rather in the moon!

Visiting Cagliari

We arrive in the most populated city of Sardinia crossing ponds swarming with pink flamingos. Phoenicians, Greeks, Arabs, Spaniards ... succeeded one another in the Sardinian capital. Stop at the Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria, patroness of the sailors, next to a small old church where a mini ivory ship suspended in the apse still mysteriously indicates the direction of the winds. After a traditional lunch (seafood soup, pecorino eggplant, tomato snails ...) at the Trattoria Gennargentu (Via Sardegna, 60 / c) with typical rustic decoration, you can borrow the arcades of Via Roma, Where the shops have long since replaced the fishermen's houses, and we go up the quarter of the Marina through the alleys to the ramparts of the historic quarter of Castello. At Antico Caffè (Piazza Costituzione 10/11), at the foot of the bastion Saint-Remy, you drinke with a view of the port and the whole gulf.
